Outreach Goal:
To improve our response to the Call to Service and Ministry by caring for all of God’s children including members of the parish, visitors and the poor in our community.
“Prosper the work of our hands.” Psalm 90:17
Strategies:
1. Conduct joint activities with other parishes, especially Transfiguration Church in Wallace, to encourage a sense of community and outreach.
2. Encourage activities involving youth of other parishes to give our children opportunities to meet and relate to other Catholics.
3. Increase participation in charitable and other worthy activities in the community to benefit the community in an ecumenical spirit as well as to be a witness to the Church’s presence.
4. Inform local newspapers of our activities.
5. Establish a bereavement ministry.
6. Formalize the program for visitation of shut-ins and the institutionalized.
