Educational Goal:
To improve our response to the Call to Faith and Ministry by enhancing our knowledge and understanding of our Catholic teachings as well as sharing it with others.
“And he said to them, ‘Go out to the whole world; proclaim the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15.
Strategies:
1. Promote and maintain scripture studies for children in Pre-K to the Eight Grade to include all elements that parents and students need to prepare for First Eucharist and Confirmation.
2. Encourage the preparation and participation of children in Mass and especially the “Children’s Mass.”
3. Prepare Faith Formation teachers to be well-informed and good examples to young people, including attendance at deanery and diocesan educational events.
4. Offer and encourage participation in adult faith formation classes.
5. Develop an understanding by both adults and young people of what it means to be a Catholic Christian in today’s world.
6. Collaborate with Transfiguration Church concerning youth faith formation to instill a connection between both churches.
7. Begin a Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), Baptismal and Marriage preparation ministry.
8. Plan an educational event that will build up the parish community and strengthen the life and mission of the parish.
